Such an original topic for the week right? haha I had such a great Thanksgiving that I have to share it...especially because it is the most interesting part of the week. The rest consisted of working ten or eleven hours a day. Painful for my feet, but pleasant for my wallet!
Due to work, I needed to stay here in Utah for Thanksgiving, but I'm glad I did because it worked out so well! I got to go to my cousins house in Cedar Hills which is only about a half hour away. They had a hilarious aunt over with her family and another one of our cousins. My cousins are definitely my favorite girls! I love spending time with them! Before I headed up there I got to Skype with my family so technically still got to see them. haha Gotta love technology!
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious! Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade rolls, green beans, stuffing, jello, and lots of pie! I'm sure I'm missing stuff, but the point it was delicious and so filling! I love full on such great food. After some entertaining stories from Aunt Nancy, we played games then went to the movies. We saw Abduction which was super intense! I liked it. After the movie I decided to head home and skip black Friday this year because I had to be at work at eight in the morning and didn't want to spend money anyway. I enjoyed sleeping. :) Between my shifts Friday I went to the movies again with my cousins to see The Help. It was SO good! I really loved it! I love those kind of stories and it had a few sweet moments and a few funny moments. I was a little late, but so happy I still went!
Basically, I am so blessed that I have such a great family and that some of them live so close! It is a blast to get together with the girls who are all within a couple years of each other. They really are great friends! My aunts and uncles are always nice to have us over, especially for Thanksgiving when they had to make a large dinner! I really appreciated no work, school, or homework on Thanksgiving. It really was a holiday break on that day :)
